He was predeceased by: his parents, A. Huntley Smith and Gertrude Smith; his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Smith (Pettipas); and his daughter Luanne P. Havlicek. He is survived by: his close friend Dorothy "Dotty" Savio; his children, Laurie Smith (Mary Jane Sadler) and Jeff Smith; his son-in-law Jeffrey Havlicek (Emily); his grandchildren, Matthew Havlicek (Ellen), Anika Daff (Corey) and Harris Havlicek; his great grandchildren, Luke and Zoe Havlicek; and his siblings, Elaine Graves (late Clint), Helen MacWhinnie (Dick), Arlene Jewett (Ed) and Ed Smith (Nancy).
