She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael J. Tierney and Bridget Agnes Tierney (McNulty); and her sister Mary Dooling. She is survived by: her husband John F. Burke of Swampscott; her children, Susan E. Burke of Marblehead, John F. Burke Jr. (Patricia) of Andover, Richard Giunta (Celia Nichols) of Tampa, FL, Maura Burke Abramo (Eric) of Newburyport and Tara Burke of Marblehead; her grandchildren, Sean, Molly, Ryan, Parkes and Shane; and her siblings, James, Helen, John, Thomas, Albert and Robert Tierney. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
