With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Hughes of Sutton, Massachusetts, born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 4, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph A. Vigliatura and Josephine Vigliatura (Massad); her son Clifford G. Hughes; and her siblings, Joseph A. Vigliatura, Vivian Pigaga, Lorraine Nadeau, Judith Champagne and Dolores Forsley.
She is survived by: her husband Fred B. Hughes, Sr.; her children, Fred B. Hughes of Myrtle Beach, Paul Hughes of Orlando, John Hughes of Worcester and Cheri Downer (Kevin) of New Hampshire; her sisters, Miriam Vigiatura and Linda Sebetes; her grandchild Ashley Hughes; and her great grandchild Ayden. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
