He is survived by: his parents, Janet M. Meaney of Boston and Norman D. Bates of Mashpee; his brother Daniel Bates (Arianne) of New York; and his pets, Snoops and Rosie. He is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends.
