He was predeceased by: his parents, Hector MacKay and Violet MacKay (Guerard); and his former wife Marilyn "Gail" MacKay. He is survived by: his wife Nancy F. Persson-MacKay; his children, Julie Marini of Charlton, Glenn MacKay (Ellen) of Mendon and Mark MacKay (Stephanie) of Whitinsville; his stepchildren, Erica Storms, Jennifer Maxwell (Kevin) and Russell Persson (Katie) of Reno, NV; and his sisters, Nancy Shanahan (Jack), Barbara Dexter (Charlie) and Beverly Horton (Dick). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
