He was predeceased by: his parents, Walmer P. Mortenson and Ethel Mortenson (Smith); his wife Alice Mortenson (Goucher); and his brothers, David and Robert.

He is survived by: his children, Eric Mortenson (Sharon) of Hudson, NH, Mark Mortensen (Irene) of Tewksbury, NJ and Suzanne Welch (Paul) of Westford, MA; his grandchildren, Melissa, Heather, Sarah, Abigail, Luke of Lila, CJ and Liam; and his great grandchildren, Madison and Lincoln.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dick to: The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
