She was predeceased by: her husband Harold G. Bates; her son Alan G. Bates; and her siblings, Gilbert F. Allen, Shirley R. Hanson, Inez Price and Elizabeth Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Donald H. Nickerson (Sandra) of Stoughton and Barbara A. Walsh (John Paul Walsh) of Bridgewater; and her brother James M. Allen of Stoughton. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
