He was predeceased by: his wife Adeline M. Carter (Struzziero); and his siblings, Adrian Carter and Harry Carter. He is survived by: his significant other Patricia Johnson; and his sons, Gary P. Carter (MaryAnne) of Stoughton, James R. Carter (Cheryl) of Burlington and David A. Carter (Patricia) of Bourne. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farley Funeral Home (358 Park St, Stoughton, MA 02072). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. James Church (560 Page St, Stoughton, MA 02072). A burial was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
