With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Sheldon Hampton (Stoughton, Massachusetts), born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 14, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolena Hampton (Kinslow) and Peter Hampton; his stepsister Eileen; and his stepfather Charles Balcer. He is survived by: his wife Mady Hampton; his children, Suzanne Rakutis (Paul) of Avon, Michelle Mendonca (John) of Mattapoisett, Melissa Chicoine (Kevin) of Middleboro and Gregory Hampton (Vivien) of Belchertown; his grandchildren, Ryan Hampton (Brynne), Zachary Rakutis, Tyler Rakutis (Kellie), Cassandra Doherty, Cody Rakutis, Kyle Rakutis (Lyndsey), Courtney Zurwaski (Ryan), Jillian Mendonca (Nick), Tessa Mendonca, Morgan Mendonca, Sydney Mendonca, Isa Hampton and Eben Hampton; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Brody, Charlie, Emmy and Rosie; his brothers, Peter and Tom Hampton; and his stepsisters, Carol and Charlene. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
