He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret M. "Peggy" Karavetsos (Bresnahan); his parents, Alexander Karavetsos and Evangelia Karavetsos (Pavlis); and his siblings, Helen Tower and Frank Karavetsos.
He is survived by: his children, John A. "Jack" Karavetsos, Jr. of Taunton, Diane M. Ford of Bridgewater, Raymond C. Karavetsos of Stoughton, Paula E. Karavetsos (Denise Robinson) of Attleboro, Linda C. Karavetsos of Stoughton and Andrea K. Trombley (Dennis) of Sterling; and his brother Charles Karavetsos (Joyce) of Hyde Park. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
