He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Inacio and Filomena Freitas; his siblings, Manuel, Jacinto Freitas and Deonilde Teves; and his grandson Ryan DeSousa.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Virginia Freitas; his children, Duarte Freitas (Licia) of Taunton, Zeca Freitas (Jeanie) of Taunton, Lucia DeSousa (Fran) of Stoughton, John Freitas (Deka) of Westport, Lucilia Cobb (Cliff) of Stoughton and Amilcar Freitas; and his grandchildren, Vanessa, Amanda, Sabrena, Nuno, Carina, Jason, Leo, Rebeca, Stella, Mason and Luke. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farley Funeral Home (358 Park St, Stoughton, MA 02072). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (122 Canton St, Stoughton, MA 02072). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at the Evergreen Cemetery (1100 Washington St, Stoughton, MA 02072).
