He was predeceased by: his wife Alyce "Jane" Gilks (Dow); his parents, Edward T. Gilks and Margaret Gilks (McKellick); and his son George R Gilks Jr. (Bob). He is survived by: his children, Janice Conley (Harold Sr.) of Dixfield, Mike Jones of Sanford, Lisa Buhan (Donald) of Easton, Tina Conley, Terry Lare and Chris Jones. He is also survived by numerous siblings, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
