She was predeceased by: her parents, Epifanio B. Baptista and Maria Belem Baptista (Simas); and her brother Epifanio Baptista. She is survived by: her siblings, Helena Franco of Easton and Manuel Baptista of Portugal. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Almerinda was a woman of faith, and believed in science, and made the selfless act of donating her remains to the Anatomical Gift Program at Harvard Medical School.
