She was predeceased by: her parents, Ricardo Zapata and Rose Zapata (Scaperotti); and her brother Fernando "Sonny" Zapata. She is survived by: her children, Charles (Jennifer Plaza), Debbie (Charles Papillo) and Caroline (Joseph Colarusso); her grandchildren, Charles, Stefanie, Anthony, Joseph, Richard, Kylie, McKenzie, Cody and Brady; her great grandchild Rose Grace; her sister Josephine "Chickie" Danieli of Boston; and also Carlos Plaza of Puerto Rico.
