She was predeceased by: her husband John William Bates; her parents, Raymond Manning Wilson and Eda Ann Wilson; and her siblings-in-law, Lorraine, George Bilafer, Clintelle, Gordon Bates and Richard Bates.
She is survived by: her children, John W. Bates III (Sandy) of Melrose, MA, Jeffrey R. Bates of Boston, MA, Joanne M. Bates of Stoneham, MA and Jason W. Bates (Era Dabla) of Washington, DC.; her grandchildren, Jack, Melissa, Joshua, Rosa, Alexandra, Samuel and Gabriela; and her sister-in-law Jacqueline Bates. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
