He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert MacWhinnie and Eileen MacWhinnie (Miller); and his siblings, William MacWhinnie, Sally Poor and Edward MacWhinnie.
He is survived by: his pets, Queenie, Snickers and Reeses; his wife Jeanne MacWhinnie (O'Brien); his children, Suzanne MacWhinnie of Stoneham and David MacWhinnie (Heather) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Jackie MacWhinnie of Stoneham, Cody Huntington and Matthew MacWhinnie of Quincy; and his sisters, Mary Rahilly and Lori Howard. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
