He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wales and Erma Compton Wales; and his wife Dorothy Wales (Allen). He is survived by: his daughters, Kathleen Vincent (David W. Vincent, Jr.) of Pittsfield, MA and Phyllis Gruner (Stephen) of West Chester, PA; his grandchildren, Jennifer Conrad, Jeffrey Ducharme and Hillary Maropis; and his great grandchildren, Andrew, Peter, Kathryn, Jonathan, Nathaniel Conrad, Hannah and Bryn Maropis.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Charles may be made to either HospiceCare in the Berkshires or Hancock Shaker Village through Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230.
