Foster of Sterling, Massachusetts, born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Ernest A. Foster; and his wife Carole A. Foster (LaFleur). He is survived by: his children, Kevin R. Foster (Beth Litterio-Foster) of Sterling and Kimberly A. Lederer (Brian) of Jefferson; his brother Gary Foster of Ashville, NC; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Drew Lederer, Kyle, Nathan and Abbigale Foster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sterling Fire/Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 515, Sterling, MA 01564.

“To all of Dick's family and friends. I had the privilege knowing Dick from the first grade in Sterling throughout his life. Dick and I used to "hang out" back in our Butterick school years. He'd come to my house and I'd go to his in the center of Sterling. We would play cops and robbers, cowboys and Indians and more. As we became adults, we lost contact. We would, however, run into each other occasionally and reminisce. Please accept my deepest sympathy and condolence. RIP my friend.”
