He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Doherty and Josephine Doherty (Vizard); his wife Nancy Doherty (Patterson); his sons, Timothy and Alexander; his sister Margaret Foley (Doherty) of Windham, NH.; his daughter Laura Doherty; his grandson-in-law Kevin of Lancaster, MA; his grandsons, Anthony of Lancaster and Ryan of Virginia Beach, VA; his son Kenneth Doherty (Margaret) of Cocoa Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Kenneth of Southbridge, MA and Thomas of Cocoa Beach, FL; his son Norman of Rancho Rio, NM; his granddaughter Crystal; his daughter Amanda; and his great grandchildren, Mariah and Sawyer. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sterling Firefighters Association.
