It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Matilda Ferranto of Sterling, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 29, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond; her son Charles Ferranto; her sister Agnes Rocheford; her son-in-law James Raslavsky; her former husband Charles Zabrockas; and her parents, Mary DeBoer and Samuel DeBoer.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Raslavsky of Harpswell, ME, Barbara Kirkpatrick (Bradford) of South Portland, ME, Maria Ferrante (Marc Andelman) of Worcester, Lawrence Ferranto (Marcia) of Ashton, MD and Cynthia Ferranto (John) of Washington, D. C.; her grandchildren, Heidi, Cassi, Jeremy, Molly, Joshua, Alissa, Jake, Jordan, Charlie, Michael, Elizabeth, Laura, Jaime and Samantha; her great grandchildren, Eloise, Drew, Olivia, Jack, Sophia, Caleb and Harper; and her sisters-in-law, Grace Lonzo and Rose Dirado. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
At 96 she recovered from Covid 19 and returned to her friends at the Chestnut Wing of Sterling Village.
Memorial donations may be made in support of her great grandson, Caleb, to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
