He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Doherty and Alice Doherty (Frostholm). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Doherty (Dewaele); his sons, Michael of Los Angeles and Timothy of Billerica; his daughter-in-law Julie; his grandchildren, Taryn and Dylan; and his sister Alice of Beaumont. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
