It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lauren James Murray of Sterling, Massachusetts, born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 1, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Murray and Neverlie Murray (Somers); and his sister Cheryl Murray. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne M. Murray (Downs); his son Richard Murray of Lunenburg; his stepdaughter Amy Goucher of Pelham, NH; and his brothers, Donlin Murray of Sterling, Jodre Murray of Leominster and Verne Murray of Sterling. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter, sterlingshelter.org.

“We are saddened to hear of Lauren's passing. The Murray boys were all on our bus, and were neighbors of ours- Sterling was much smaller then, and our home was 2 miles away on Justice Hill Cut-Off. Lauren comes from good stock- his parents were fine, fine people, and Donlin, Jody, and Verne were our friends. The Murrays were hardworking, good, kind people. On behalf of the entire Deane C.
