He is survived by: his friend Kathleen Dineen (Kay); his children, Stephen Grimes (Joanne) of East Longmeadow, Thomas Grimes (Nicole) of Ellington, CT, Ellen Grimes of Chicago, Maureen Bonavita of Longmeadow, Kathleen Roffo (David) of Longmeadow and Nancy O'Brien of Sturbridge; his sister-in-law Margaret Dineen of Charlestown, RI; his grandchildren, Cameron (Kelsey Teraila), Hayley Grimes, Jude, Luke, Matthew, Tess Bonavita, Kathleen (KC), Devin Roffo, Liam, Owen, Emmet O'Brien, Hannah and Michael Grimes; and his son-in-law Peter Bonavita of Ocean Ridge, FL. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Scholarship Program, 1000 Hall of Fame Ave, Springfield, or the John Boyle O'Reilly Club, 33 Progress Ave, Springfield.
