He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter McFarlin and Lillian Smith McFarlin; and his siblings, Edward McFarlin, Dennis McFarlin, Dorothy Crose, Mary Thorn and Lillian MacKinnon.
He is survived by: his sister Ethel Zorn; his wife Maureen McFarlin (O'Shaughnessy); his children, Michael McFarlin, Steven McFarlin and Kim Sprandel (Mike); his stepchildren, Eileen O'Connor (Edward Foley) and Patrick O'Connor; his daughter-in-law Sharon (McHugh); his siblings-in-law, John O'Shaughnessy (Theresa), Sheila O'Shaughnessy and Ron Lawrence; and his grandchildren, Ashley Sprandel (Jeffrey Lauziere), Tyler Sprandel, Cassidy, Cailin, Helena O'Connor, Ethan, Willow and Colleen McFarlin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral and Cremation (220 N Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
