She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Maddox and Georgie Mae Maddox; her husband William Thaxton; her siblings, James Maddox, Laura Brightwell, Gulfie Turner, Clara Brightwell, Sylvia Weir and Ruth Self; and her stepchildren, William Thaxton, Jr. and Arlene Thaxton.
She is survived by: her son Andre Perryman; her aunt Edna; her stepdaughter Cheryl Thaxton Reed; and her grandchildren, Lisa Watson, Rhonda Love, Kelly Perryman, Deitra Byrdsong, Cheryl Reed, Renee Reed, LaRae Benjamin and Ebony Forand. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
