He was predeceased by: his mother Mildrid Hines; and his sister Berniece Ayers. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Gaines; his children, Carolyn Brantley and Roy Hines Jr.; his brother Calvin Hines (Eva) of Dadeville, AL; his grandchildren, Ciarra King, Ryan Perry (Rebecca), Zhane Stone (Josh), Charles Brantley Jr., Cameron Brantley and Roy Hine III; and his great grandchildren, Aniya, Jalen, Ryan Jr. and Payton.
