He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Cowdrey (Mattoon); his children, Robert W. Cowdrey, Jr. (Jennifer Goodine) of Fort Fairfield, ME, Kellie Thornton (David Heywood) of Chicopee and Joshua J. Cowdrey of Springfield; his son-in-law Jason Thornton of Springfield; his brother Ronald Cowdrey; his grandchildren, Jessica Thornton, Adrian Thornton (Charles Lyman), Jason Thornton, Jr., Shaughnessy Thornton and Joshua Thornton (Bethzaida Rivera); and his great grandchildren, Cornell, Janaiya, J'Amiracle and Janaiyla.
