He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony J. Slater and Anne Slater (Sadlon); his wife Eleanor M. Willig (Lindwall); his children, Steven L. Willig and Karen A. Willig; and his brother Alfred A. Willig.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony A. Willig (Cheryl Sethares) of Mashpee, MA, Matthew E. Willig (Javier Cortes) of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Jane E. Feinstein (Robert) of Yarmouth Port, MA; his sister Janet Paris of Houston, TX.; and his grandchildren, Samantha Feinstein and Abigale Feinstein.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home (1858 Allen St, Springfield, MA 01118). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions maybe made in Richard's name to St. John's Lutheran Church.
