It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard C Sanders of Springfield, Massachusetts, born in Northampton, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 19, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Sanders and Mildred Sanders (West); and his siblings, Robert Sanders and Doris Martin. He is survived by: his girlfriend Romelle Crockwell; his sons, Richard Allen Sanders (Brenda) of Texas and Joseph Douglas Sanders (Laura) of Templeton, MA; his stepchildren, Joseph Whalen (Wendy) of Heath, MA, Tony (Carrie) of South Carolina, Michael (Lisa) of Arkansas and Madeline Smola (Todd) of Warren, MA.; his siblings, Kenneth Sanders of Easthampton, MA and Norma Burnett of Florence, MA.; his grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin, Timothy, Brooke, Matthew, Michael, Kate, Shandie, Carly, Sydney, Cooper, Callahan, Joline, Ayden, Romelle, Caitlyn, Josselyn, Brandon, John Jay and Andrew; and his great grandchildren, Beckett, Lilah, Odin, Theo, Ryker and Ellie Ruth. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
