With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvine Alexander of Springfield, Massachusetts, born in Shellman, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 14, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Jenkins and Evelena Clayton; her husband Hubert Alexander Sr.; her son Timothy Alexander; her siblings, Will Jenkins and Martha Crapps; and her grandson Karmari Alexander.

She is survived by: her children, Henry Baldwin (Wanda), Hubert Alexander Jr. (Marilyn), Curtis Alexander (Shawn), James Alexander, Christopher Alexander, Evelena Alexander, Patricia Alexander and Lisa Alexander; her sisters, Marie Grean and Marjorie Jenkins; and her goddaughters, Emae Crapps and Mary Natteal. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews.
