She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Lloyd Gilson; her father Brockton; and her children, Dr. Steven M. Gilson of Plantation, FL and Elisa "Lisa" Hertel of Andover, MA. She was also cherished by her five grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Westview Cemetery (9 Piper Rd, Lexington, MA 02421).
