With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Murphy of Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 17, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Barnard and Doris Barnard (Hathaway); her daughter Gayle Ann DeMaio; her siblings, Richard, Jack, Donald Barnard and Barbara Larkin; and her sister-in-law Peg Barnard.
She is survived by: her children, Donna M. DeValle (Timothy) of Punta Gorda, FL, Lawrence J. Pagliaro (Angela) of Ludlow and Sheila Murphy of Worcester; her adoptive daughter Terry Alexopoulos of Longmeadow; her brother Roger Barnard (Dorothy) of Hollidaysburg, PA; her grandchildren, Tracie, Joe Mazza of Boca Raton, FL, Gina, Ricky Varandas of Ludlow, Nicole Pagliaro, Lynne Wallace of Fredericksburg, VA, Anthony DeMaio, Liz Begley of Ludlow, MA, Alex Fuller of Springfield and Emily Pagliaro of Ludlow; her stepgrandchildren, Aziza, Alyssa, Alexandra and Skye; and her great grandchildren, Gina, Carmino, Mason, Ricardo, Kit and Gia.
