She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph E. Roy and Laura Roy (Morrier); her husband Richard J. Footit; her son James Footit (Cathrine); her brothers, Alan, Philip and Donald Roy; her son-in-law John Howes; and her grandchild Allison Mary.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Howes (Donald Mientka), Rosemary (William Lanigan), Patricia (John Real), William (Faith Footit), John (Gina Footit), Mary (John Gentile), Paul (Barbara Footit), Marguerite Footit, Susan (Chester Szetela) and Terry Footit; her grandchildren, Emily, Laura, Hannah, Sean, Kelsey, Julia, Mathew, Jeffrey, Tayler, Christopher, Douglas, Briana, Sarah, Marie, Anna, Olivia, Elizabeth, Mara and Amy; and her great grandchildren, Keaton, Landon, Silas, Hazel, Sage, Luke and Greyson. She is also survived by 8 children followed by 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan's memory may be made to Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
