He was predeceased by: his parents, Rowena Spear and Robert W. Spear; his daughters, Amy and Alison (Gail Williams Spear); and his siblings, Marsha Spear and Robert W. Spear Jr..
He is survived by: his brothers, Paul E. Spear of Florida, Matthew G. Spear and Barry V. Spear; and his pet Ruby. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
