It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Ruell Jr. of Springfield, Massachusetts, born in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 24, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Amanda and James J. Ruell Sr. Jim; and his significant other Phyllis M. Ruell (Sullivan). He is survived by: his daughter Ann McPherson (Paul) of Sandwich, MA; his grandchildren, Kelly Westbrooks (Russell) of Springfield, Colin McPherson of Washington, D. C. and Caitlin McPherson of Buzzards Bay, MA.; and his great grandchildren, Emma and Nicholas Westbrooks.
Because of covid19 Jim's funeral will be held privately at St. Patrick's Church in Springfield. Burial will also be private in Baptist Village Cemetery in East Longmeadow.
