It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Atwater (Springfield, Massachusetts), born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on June 13, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Atwater and Effie Atwater; his sibling Clayborne Atwater; and his son Bennie Lee Gwendolyn. He is survived by: his son Ernest Atwater (Atty); his sisters, Mary Hall, Catherine Rogers and Dorothy Lyons; his wife Darline Miller-Atwater of Springfield, MA; his children, Ronald Atwater (Linda) of Hinesville, GA, Regina Robinson (late Joe) of Boston, MA and Reggie Miller (Maritza) of Springfield, MA; his adoptive daughter Karen Bunch; and his grandchildren, Angela, Steven (Shandell), JoAnn (Rashaan), Jolanda, Ronnie Jr., Veronica (Patrick), Tiffany (Stephen), Brian, Jazmin and Tyesha.
