He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Boise J. and Alease Sellers (Mack). He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his sons, Omari and Gyasi; his siblings, Woodrow Sellers and Marjorie Shorter; and his aunt Modestine Mack. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
