He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. O'Connor and Helen M. O'Connor (Kibbe); his sister Helene Vail (Robert Vail); and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Agen (Langone), Timothy Dowd and Peter Karam.
He is survived by: his close friend Christine M. O'Connor (Langone); his sons, Jeffrey K. O'Connor (Andrea Momnie O'Connor) of Wilbraham and Brian E. O'Connor (Connor); and his siblings-in-law, Angela Dowd of West Springfield, Marianne Karam of Agawam, Barbara Cummings (Ned) of South Carolina, James Langone (Chiqui Guiribitey) of Florida and Michael Agen. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins.
His relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 10 a. m. at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01104. (Please meet directly at the church. Masks are required with social distance per state regulations and church capacity is 40%). His burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Sister Caritas Cancer Center, c/o Mercy Medical Center, 271 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
