He is survived by: his mother Joan Staples (Terzi); his wife Sharon Martins-Bernard; his stepfather Ralph Staples of Maine; his sons, Alex Bernard of Palmer and Nicholas Bernard (Marie Valliere) of Monson; his brothers, Arnold Bernard (Kathy Jurkowski) of Wilbraham and Peter Bernard (Elizabeth) of Stafford, CT; his stepson Evan LeBeau; and his granddaughter Ellianne LeBeau.
