She was predeceased by: her father James Martin Sr. Donna; her stepmother Evalina Martin; her sisters, Demertis and Denise Johnson; her cousin Carolyn Pearson Thompson; and her niece Kaleema Cordell.
She is survived by: her mother Mary Johnson (Pearson) of Springfield; her husband Eddie O. Veal of Springfield; her children, James W. Smith Jr. of Lawrence, MA, David "Dyron" Johnson (Brenda) and Mary "Myna" Smith of Springfield, MA; her siblings, Debra Washington (Brian), Diana "Deanie" Johnson (Tiffany), Donita Johnson, Akeshia Renee Martin of Newport News, VA, Angelia "Angie" Martin of Dumfries, VA, Sharon Weakly (Robert) and James E. Martin Jr.; her aunt Cynthia Johnson; and her close friends, Lisa Bobbitt, Ethelda "Thellie" Emery and Catherine "Weena" Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center (1858 Allen St, Springfield, MA 01118). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
