She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel T. King and Ollie B. King (Whitehead); and her husband James Monts. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Monts (Kenneth) of Springfield, MA and Enoch Monts (Kathleen) of Las Vegas, NV.; her siblings, Geneva Abdullah (John) of Hartford, Samuel King and Allen James (Dora) of Americus, GA.; her grandchildren, Jordan, Julianna, James Monts of Springfield, MA and Kadie Taylor of Las Vegas, NV.; her goddaughter Niya Burt-Darby of Springfield, MA.; her daughter-in-law Joan Monts of Springfield, MA.; and her close friends, Alice Hood, June McCloud of Indian Orchard, MA and Clara. She is also survived by wife and mother to her children.
