He was predeceased by: his parents, John Baker and Margaret Baker (Foley); and his wife Doreen B. Baker (Reilly). He is survived by: his children, John J. (Nannette Baker) of Chicopee, Brendan T. Jr. (Julie Baker) of Wilbraham, Thomas M. (Kelly Baker) of Southwick, Sheila P. (Mick Hayward), Eileen M. (Michael Belniak) and Kathleen D. Wurster; and his son-in-law John Gonet of Southwick. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
