Murphy-Schmitt of Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 30, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George E. Murphy and Mabel I. Murphy (Shappie). She is survived by: her husband Jacob B. Schmitt; her children, Patricia A. Richard of Springfield and Karl Schmitt (Cheri) of Bedford, NH; her nephew George Capaccio; her niece Karen Strachan (David); and her great-niece Margot. She is also survived by grandchildren; her five cherished great-grandchildren.
