He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Taft and Willye Taft (Tennis); his wife Mary T. Taft (Walsh); his children, Jacqueline Taft, Mary Walsh and Frederick Andersen; and his siblings, Edwin, Robert, Phillip Taft, Lillian Peck and Jacqueline Taft.
He is survived by: his children, Susan A. Cooter (Garry) of Springfield, Beatrice Goodrow (Donald) of Springfield and Thomas J. Andersen (Patricia) of Berlin, CT; his brother William H. Taft of Hampden; and his grandchildren, Danielle, Christine, Jennifer, Mary, Alexander, Christopher, Jesse, John and Tracy. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and he leaves many nieces and nephews.
