He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law George Hathaway. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Hathaway-Richard; his children, Daniel J. Richard of Arizona, Jacob J. Richard of Florida and Brittany Hathaway Pena; his grandchildren, Jazea, Zaria, John, Samuel and Nyny; his siblings, Roland J. Richard of Colorado and Jean Patricks of Uxbridge, MA; and his siblings-in-law, Roosevelt Hathaway, Michael Hathaway, Steven Hathaway, Rosetta Woodson, Tracy Hathaway and Mattie Hathaway.
