He was predeceased by: his wife Ann M. Hackett (McNeaney); his parents, Charles L. Hackett and Evelyn C. Hackett (Case); and his brother William Hackett. He is survived by: his children, Lee A. Ferris (Peter) of Dennis, Karen E. Hackett of Spencer and John L. Hackett of Beverly; his granddaughters, Kaitlyn A. Brickhouse (Michael) of Chicago, IL, Elizabeth T. Hackett of Beverly, Lauren A. Ferris (Kristin) of Halethorpe, MD, Sara J. Hackett (Nick Guido) of Salem and Margaret G. Hackett of Wenham; his great grandchild Beckham J. Cregg; and his siblings, Charles Hackett Jr. (Claire) of Spencer, Carol Lulu of Sutton, Dorothy Gosselin of Spencer and Robert Hackett of Auburn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with the Covid-19 guidelines, all attendees are kindly asked to wear face coverings and practice social distancing while at the funeral home.
