He was predeceased by: his brother Johhny Cox; his stepfather Felix A. Isaac; and his parents, Juan Jose Cox and Nereida Ayala. He is survived by: his wife Nydia Elicier; his children, Jenniffer Cox, Indira D. Cox, Stella M. Cox, Luis R. Cox, Jr., Ruth L. Cox and Edith A. Elicier; his grandchildren, U. S. Marine Alexander J. Martell, Rachell Iraola, David J. Acevedo, Jomar Matos, Luis D. Cox, Emanuell Iraola, Iseas Acevedo, Maikel J. Feliz, Melanie Cox, Nydializ Feliz, Jacob Acevedo, Jelismary Feliz, Mya Ruiz, Nahyeli Ann Cox and Beverly Cox; and his siblings, Edwin G. Cox, Hector R. Cox, Angel D. Cox, Felix Isaac, Sonia M. Cox, Maria V. Cox and Elizabeth Cox. He is also survived by many other family members, sons and daughters in law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
