He is survived by: his children, Gordon R. Cortis of Crossville, TN, Joyce M. Ripley (Leon) of Granville and Elaine M. Cortis (Peter Stassen) of Feeding Hills; his sister Pearl Patino of Agawam; his grandsons, David Ripley (Jessie), Jonathan Ripley and Matthew Ripley (Maggie); and his great grandchildren, Lilie, Cate, Abbey and Clark.
