He was predeceased by: his siblings, Herve, Emile, Rene, Roger, Leo, Joseph Plasse, Loretta Tremblay, Jeanne Plante, Aline Racine, Yvette Borowiec and Mariette Chapdelaine.

He is survived by: his parents, Donat Plasse and Annette Plasse (Rajotte); his wife Joan; his children, Richard Albert Plasse, Jr. (Carrie), Teresa Marie Plasse-Goosen (Theodore) of Virginia Beach, VA and Mark Alan Plasse (Kristine); his grandchildren, Jennifer Plasse-Puzey (Jason) of Southwick, Richard Andrew Plasse (Deborah), Erin Lindi Plasse Doane (Jeffery) of Poughkeepsie, NY, Theodore James Goosen, Jr., Jason Tyler Goosen, Mark Alan Plasse, Jr. and Matthew Alex Plasse; his great grandchildren, Madison Jewel, Emilia Grace, Richard Adam, Adaline Findleigh, Jeffery Robert and Lillian Elisabeth; and his sister Rachel Nunes of Seattle, WA.. He is also survived by husband, loving father, and beloved grandfather and great-grandfather, Richard will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
