She was predeceased by: her siblings, Efrain Aponte, Hector Aponte, Jose Aponte, Angel Aponte, Victor Aponte, Juan Aponte, Paula Negro, Praxides "Pasin" Torres and Olga Alicea; and her parents, Manuel Aponte and Petronila Aponte (Colon).
She is survived by: her husband Ramon "Moncho" Cruz; her children, Andy R. Cruz (Joanne) of Jacksonville, FL, Daniel Cruz (Sharon) of Swansea, Ramonita "Nita" Brunell of Sturbridge and Cynthia Minton (Tiyika) of Southbridge; her grandchildren, Wendy, Stephen, Stephanie, Andy, Brandon, Malyssa, Marissa, Kevin, Callie and Kiyiana; her great grandchildren, Jadin, Harlie, Adaliz, Ryleigh, Aiden, Dominic, Ethan, Jacob, Elijah, Meazlyn and Roman; her sisters, Antonia Melendez of Puerto Rico, Andrea Ortiz of Southbridge and Margarita Melendez of Southbridge; and her stepsiblings, Modesto "Pepe" Aponte of Southbridge and Margarita Aponte of Puerto Rico. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
